Boreal toad considered for listing by FWS

Authors: Erin Muths
What was the problem addressed?

The Fish and Wildlife Service requested expert input as they conducted a Species Status Assessment (SSA) for the Eastern population of the boreal toad.

Who did we help?

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service

What did we do?

We responded to a detailed questionnaire, and multiple telephone queries about the status and biology of boreal toads in the southern Rocky Mountain Region. All data and information submitted in response to this elicitation becomes part of the FWS administrative record to be accessed and considered in their listing decision which is due in fall of 2017.

What was the outcome or accomplishment (if known)?

The FWS decision determined that the boreal toad was warranted but precluded for federal listing.
